The Dickson County Lady Cougars finished the regular season with a 60-50 win at Summit, on a six game win streak with a record of 22-5, 13-3 in D11AAA play. The Lady Cougars locked up the #2 seed in the district tournament, which will be hosted at Dickson County High School.
In the quarterfinal round, the Lady Cougars will host #7 seed Independence. Dickson County handled the Lady Eagles in both regular season matchups, winning 61-39 and 70-50. That game will be played at 6pm on Friday, February 15. The winner will take on the winner of the Ravenwood vs. Franklin matchup in the 11AAA semifinal. The complete bracket is below.
The Dickson County boys lost the regular season finale 60-53 at the hands of Summit, but the Cougars went into the game knowing they already had the #4 seed locked up, with a strong likelihood that they would play Summit in a rematch for the quarterfinal. Dickson County finishes the regular season with a 17-10 overall record, 9-7 in conference play.
It will be a rematch, as #5 seed Summit will travel to Dickson County to face the Cougars at 7:30pm on Friday, February 15. The winner will take on the team that comes on top of Franklin vs. Independence/Spring Hill.
