The Creek Wood Lady Red Hawks played host to Hickman County in a 1-versus-8 District Tournament Quarterfinal Game Tuesday night in Charlotte. Despite a couple of mini-runs by the Lady Dawgs, Creek Wood had little trouble with the play-in-game winners, coasting to a 55-23 win.
Raegan Hohl had 7 points in the first quarter while Sam Kilian and Lydia Edmondson each had 4 and CWHS rolled to an 18-4 lead heading into the second. Freshman Bailey Gilbert had 7 of Hickman County’s first 10 points, but even with a rally in the second Hickman was unable to gain ground. Hohl had 5 more points in a 10-7 second as Creek Wood pushed the lead to 28-11. A 14-7 third all but sealed the win for the Lady Red Hawks, who emptied the bench in the fourth en route to a 55-23 victory.
Gilbert had 9 points for the Lady Dawgs while Lacey Carter added 7. Hohl led the way for Creek Wood with 15 points and 2 threes, while Taylor Moore had 12 points–a three in every quarter. Kilian added 8 points and Edmondson 7.
