Creek Wood Baseball began their season with a double header due to weather.
They were once again forced to play a double header Friday night after weather forced them to cancel Thursday.
Facing Harpeth in two seven inning games, the Red Hawks this time found a way to grab two victories instead of losses.
Game 1 ended on a suicide squeeze in the eighth inning before Creek Wood came out and left no doubt in game two winning 8-0.
So far this young season Coach Clapper and his boys have looked good and offesnively like a team that can be a real force if their pitching catches up to their bats.
So far the Red Hawks have failed to put up less than 3 runs in a game just once, a victory over Fairview on the road 3-0.
However, they have given up seven plus three times and held the team scoreless the other three.
Offense early has been consistent, pitching has not.
Two games earlt this week against Hickman County and Lewis County will be great warm-ups for the Easter Slam at Dyer County April second and third where teams will come from several states to compete.
How the pitching and the record looks a week from today may very well tell us what kind of season Creek Wood will have on the diamond.
